Health Information Technician - Health Information

Description of Position/Qualifications:
Provides oversight and guidance for the release of information services. Manages the release of information process pursuant to subpoenas and court orders, and requests from healthcare providers. Maintains the medical record integrity for inpatient, observation and outpatient surgery records. Prioritizes daily tasks to meet the goals of the department. Ability to perform functions through various electronic applications. Must be able to locate patient data in an electronic medical record. Identify errors and initiate corrections and resolution, communicating to appropriate Manager(s). Functions as resource person for hospital personnel in locating specific patient information within electronic health record. Performs other duties as assigned.
